Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply when you book a tour or use this website. Down to Earth Israel Tours is run by Sagi Hazan. By booking or creating an account you agree to them — they're written to be short and fair.
Bookings
- A booking is confirmed once Sagi confirms it (by email or WhatsApp) or once your deposit is paid.
- Private tours are for up to 6 guests. Larger groups are arranged separately and priced on request.
- Please give correct contact details — we use them to coordinate pickup and any changes.
Prices and deposit
- Prices are per private group (or per day where stated) and are shown on the website in Israeli shekels.
- A deposit (currently 30% of the price) secures your date. The rest is paid on the day of the tour.
- Entrance fees, meals and personal expenses are not included unless a tour says otherwise.
Changes and cancellations
- You can ask to change your dates, tour or group size from "My bookings". Changes depend on availability and need Sagi's approval when they change the type of tour (for example, moving above or below 6 guests).
- If you cancel, your deposit is not refunded.
- If Sagi has to cancel — for example because of weather, safety or illness — you get your deposit back in full, or a new date if you prefer. This is the only case in which a deposit is refunded.
- Sagi may suggest new dates; you can accept or decline them.
On the tour
- Please tell us in advance about medical conditions, mobility needs or allergies so the day can be planned safely.
- Follow the guide's safety instructions, especially on hikes, in the desert and near water. Children must be supervised by their parents.
- Sagi may change the route on the day for safety, weather or closures, keeping the spirit of the tour.
- We recommend travel insurance for every trip.
Responsibility
- We take great care to run safe, well-planned tours. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our control or by third parties (sites, restaurants, transport providers).
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Israeli consumer-protection law.
Your account and reviews
- Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity in your account.
- Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. By posting one you allow us to show it, with your name and photos, on this website. We may remove reviews that are offensive, misleading or unrelated.
Changes and law
- We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you book applies to your booking.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
