Down to Earth Israel Tours is run by Sagi Hazan. This page explains, in plain words, what personal information we collect when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law.

What we collect

  • Booking details you give us: name, phone, email, tour, dates, number of guests and any notes.
  • If you create an account: your name and email — from Google or Apple if you sign in with them, or the ones you type in. Passwords are stored encrypted by our sign-in provider; we never see them.
  • If you write a review: your name, the text, your rating and the photos you upload.
  • Your accessibility and language preferences, saved only in your own browser.

Why we use it

  • To plan and run your tour, confirm it, and contact you about it (email and WhatsApp).
  • To let you see and manage your bookings when you're signed in.
  • To show reviews you chose to publish.
  • To keep records required by Israeli tax law, and for simple, anonymous business statistics.

Signing in with Google or Apple

  • If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your name, your email address and, if you have one, your profile picture. We don't receive your password or access to anything else in your account.
  • We use this information only to sign you in and to fill in your booking details. We never sell it, share it for advertising or use it for anything else.
  • You can disconnect Down to Earth from your Google or Apple account settings at any time, and ask us to delete your account.

Who helps us

  • Supabase (database and sign-in, servers in the EU), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending emails), Google / Apple (if you choose to sign in with them), WhatsApp (if you message us) and our payment provider for deposits.
  • We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Bookings are kept as long as needed for your tour and for legal and tax records. Cancelled bookings are deleted after 3 months (only an anonymous count remains for statistics).
  • Reviews stay up until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to remove your review, at any time. Just contact us — we'll answer within 30 days.
